Beautiful hotel. Especiallynthe garden

Ask about breakfast, the rate for breakfast change 3 times. Keep going up.. I felt like being scam. Should not happen at hotel like this scale. The reception manager should handle this issue.

Best bang for your buck in Luxor!

The location was great, the price was very fair in my opinion. The garden was beautiful The staff was very helpful and accommodating even when we needed a late check out.

Nice and clean hotel with a beautiful garden!

Nice and clean hotel with a beautiful garden (with flamingos) and a warm pool in the winter. There are also pool towels provided. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. The diner was a BBQ buffet in the garden next to the pool. The room was clean and spacious.

We stayed three nights (with halfboard) in the hotel and although the BBQ buffet in the evening was excellent, we thought after 3 BBQs in a row it could have been also a 'normal' buffet :-).

Great value, beautiful grounds, large comfortable room

The hotel is luxurious and a great value with a lovely garden and pool area - great relaxation after exploring the temples in Luxor.

The hotel provided 2 very tiny water bottles, would have preferred a larger one. The hallway was quite dark and in some disrepair.

Nice historic hotel, a bit relying on historic credit too much

Beautiful big hotel: lovely historic building, beautiful park in the premises, nice swimming pool, big rooms, comfortable beds, very nice terrace with a sofa - perfect to read on it. Very good location right next to the Luxor temple. Food was nice.

The hotel seems to live a bit on its historical credit, with pictures and mentionings of the famous visitors it had, but it is a bit neglected nowadays. For example, we had dinner in one of the restaurants: huge salon, but scarcely illuminated, curtains that have known better (cleaner) times, etc. The bathroom in the room was also "weirdly designed". The glass wall was installed in the opposite side from the shower, ie there's no way to shower without flooding the bathroom :D We asked about the price of a taxi to the airport. They said 50 euro. A private professional driver had requested 15 euro (!).

Besides the obvious mind blowing historical sites in Luxor, The hotel was the best part.

The hotel was a sanctuary. Luxor is not the easiest place to navigate as a foreigner. Going outside the hotel without a tour guide is not advisable. Thank god the hotel, the facilities and its staff were so incredible! It was the most beautiful pool I've ever seen!

Loved everything about the hotel. It would have been nice to be able to swim at night, but I understand closing at sun down.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, the rooms are large...

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, the rooms are large and with balconies. The pool area is again large and has a bar which serves food. The Staff are extremely helpful, I was allowed to check-in early which is useful with the strange flight times between Lux and Cairo. The hotel is located right next to Luxor Temple / over the road from the Nile.

The hotel is close to everything. Walking distance to Luxor Temple and good restaurants. The rooms are big with lot's of space, Great enough for 1 person! Also the workers at reception are the best!

We loved the pool and the service at the pool.

We loved the pool and the service at the pool. The pool food was great, too! We would spend every day after sightseeing at the pool until dinner. The room was wonderful and had a pretty balcony over the garden. All the staff was great. We also liked having an ATM on the premises. Laundry service was fast and excellent. My mother got a pedicure and really liked it. It was a wonderful home away from home while we were in Luxor.

The restaurants were mediocre for their price. We would have rather had one actual casual restaurant for dinner rather than all the fancy ones. It's starting to show it's age, but that's not a real problem. The room keys would stop working like every day. I don't know how many times we had to get new ones.

The property has beautifully landscaped grounds

Food was very low quality and way overpriced. They charge for water in mini bar. Usually couple bottles of water are complimentary daily. No coffee maker in room.

Excellent value for money, great location right next to Luxor Temple and ferry to West Bank. Good pool and facilities.

Bar and lounge area at Winter Palace a bit high brow, requiring a dress code which is hard to maintain during 47 degrees Celsius.

Lovely stay

The location is perfect, literally walk out of the hotel and take a stroll down the Nile and a 5 minute walk from Luxor Palace. The Hotel is a total gem, value for money with the luxuries and service of Sofitel. The rooms are large, modern and clean. Defo one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Really enjoyable! Great Egyptian hotel

Mohammed (the night receptionist) was extremely helpful. Went out of his way to help us. He showed and explained all the different things needed in order to book the gobus to Hurghada, and his instructions were incredibly simple. The cleanliness of the rooms was great and the balcony had a cracking view.

Food lacked variety, the first day, the milk tasted unusual. Also, the phone in the bathroom was broken and caused disturbances whilst trying to sleep. Would be better to have thicker glass as the prayers in the morning would wake us up.

Fantastic and careful staff. Amazing garden and pool. Very clean bedroom. Great location. They brought a complementary cake in for my birthday. Best value for money in Egypt! Best hotel we went to.
